PART 1: GENERAL

    1.1 CORPORATE NAME

    L'ASSOCIATION DES DESCENDANTS D'ANDRÉ MARSIL INC.
    (A.D.A.M). (Association of the descendants of André Marsil)

    For the purpose of these by-laws, the term “ASSOCIATION” refers to André Marsil’s Descendants Association Inc. (A.D.A.M.).

    1.2 HEAD OFFICE

    The head office of the Association is based in the province of Quebec. The exact physical location of the head office – within the said province – is chosen from time to time by the Board of Directors through resolution.

    1.3 OBJECTIVES

    1.3.1 On purely friendly, social, educational, charitable and mutual assistance grounds, and without financial intentions towards the members,
    Regroup the descendants (direct and by marriage) of André Marsil and Marie Lefebvre,
    Promote the research, publication and distribution of history and genealogy works,
    Receive or ask for financial or in kind donations and acquire goods,
    Foster knowledge of the Marsil heritage among young descendants through scholarships.

    1.3.2 Encourage artistic talents among André Marsil’s descendants.

    1.3.3 Perform any operation that can facilitate the success of the objects mentioned above.

    1.3.4 The objects do not however give the subscribers or their beneficiaries the right to recover, in any form whatsoever, the money paid to the Association.
